A Strategic Gift for Career Milestones
Some books motivate. Some books decorate shelves. This one recalibrates direction.
The Unforgettable You makes a meaningful gift for:
-
High-performers stepping into leadership for the first time
-
Colleagues navigating layoffs or career transitions
-
Fresh graduates entering competitive job markets
-
Professionals returning from maternity leave
-
Mentors supporting rising talent
It is especially relevant at moments when visibility suddenly matters, when applying, repositioning, negotiating, or stepping into new responsibility. Clarity is not automatic. It is built. This book helps build it.
Who This Book Is For, And Why It Exists
This book did not start as a branding exercise. It started as discomfort. During my MBA, I chose “putting myself out there” as a development field because it felt inconvenient. Visibility required structure. It required clarity. It required translating competence into authority. That experiment helped me become a Top Voice. I chose executive visibility and thought leadership as my thesis topic, and later returned to teach at the same university. What began as personal development evolved into a practical framework.
Outside the university, I started working with professionals in transition, mostly women navigating layoffs, maternity leave, senior pivots, or feeling undervalued inside corporate systems. The pattern was consistent: high competence, low clarity in how their work landed; strong execution, limited positioning when it mattered most. When applying for roles. When competing for leadership. When updating LinkedIn. When trying to articulate their achievements.
They had not developed the visibility muscle because most systems rewarded staying agreeable, quiet, and adaptable. This book exists for professionals who feel overlooked despite strong results, who struggle to translate experience into authority, who want visibility without exaggeration, and who need structural clarity before applying, repositioning, or stepping into leadership. The book delivers the shift. The workbook builds the muscle.

You are not invisible
But some days, you feel like a ghost. You’ve done the work. Held the line. Delivered like hell. Still, you hesitate, edit yourself down, or feel like your clarity collapses the second it meets the room.
The problem isn’t your strategy, or what you’ve been taught to survive:
21 inherited lies that reward silence, self-censorship, and waiting to be picked.
The Unforgettable You dismantles them. Not with vibes and pure manifesting, but with neuroscience, reframing, and friction-rich clarity tools. Built for professionals who want to show up without selling out.
Why Smart Professionals Stay Invisible (Even When They’re Qualified)
Most career advice tells you to post more, optimize your LinkedIn, or “build a personal brand.”
But invisibility is rarely a content problem. It’s a positioning problem. Here’s what’s actually happening:
1. Visibility ≠ Authority
Being active online doesn’t mean you’re remembered. Without clear positioning, your expertise gets seen — but not anchored.
2. Experience ≠ Signal
You’ve delivered results. Led teams. Shipped work. But if your message isn’t structured for how people evaluate credibility (and how platforms filter it), your value doesn’t translate.
3. Volume ≠ Opportunity
More posting. More applying. More networking. When the structure is off, more effort just amplifies misalignment.
4. Silence ≠ Strategy
Waiting to be “ready” feels safe. In fast-moving systems, it quietly reduces recall, referrals, and leadership perception.
This is why smart professionals — especially those navigating layoffs, career transitions, leadership pivots, or AI-filtered hiring systems — often feel invisible despite strong performance. The Unforgettable You breaks down the 21 inherited lies behind these patterns and replaces them with structural clarity, positioning precision, and professional presence that holds. You don’t need more noise. You need alignment that lands.

About the author
Built to break the pattern
Kinga Bali was not supposed to write books. Early reports said she would struggle to read. What she lacked in spelling, she made up for in stubbornness and strategy.
As a proudly neurodiverse thinker, her lens is sharp, fast, and nonlinear, ideal for decoding systems that don’t make sense.
This work emerged from 20+ years of executive experience, launching global platforms at Nestlé, leading digital change at Reckitt Benckiser, advising creators and executives, and surviving the high-stakes leadership arena while raising three kids and earning an MBA.
She did not build this system for when things are easy.
She built it to hold under pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How is this different from standard personal branding or LinkedIn books?
A: Most personal branding books focus on tactics, posting frequency, profile optimization, content hacks. This book addresses the structural reasons capable professionals stay overlooked. It examines the inherited beliefs that limit authority, visibility, and positioning, and replaces them with clarity that holds in leadership rooms, hiring processes, and digital platforms. The focus is not on looking impressive, but on becoming unmistakable.
Q: Is this book only for job seekers?
A: No. While many readers use it during career transitions, layoffs, or leadership pivots, the book applies to any experienced professional who feels their work is not landing at the level it should. It supports positioning before updating LinkedIn, applying for roles, building thought leadership, or stepping into more visible leadership responsibilities.
Q: Will this help during layoffs, maternity leave, or mid-career transitions?
A: Yes. The framework was shaped through working with professionals navigating exactly these moments. When experience is strong but articulation feels difficult, clarity becomes essential. The 21-chapter structure helps you recalibrate how you present your achievements, leadership, and value, especially in competitive or AI-filtered hiring environments.
Q: I have strong results. Why do I still feel overlooked?
A: Because experience alone does not translate into authority. Organizations and platforms evaluate clarity, positioning, and relevance. If your work is not framed in a way that communicates scope and leadership, it often gets underestimated. This book helps you close that gap without exaggeration or self-promotion.
Q: Is this a mindset or confidence book?
A: No. It does not offer motivational affirmations or generic confidence advice. Each chapter dismantles a specific professional belief that limits visibility and replaces it with structural clarity. The goal is sustainable positioning, not temporary confidence boosts.
Q: I am neurodivergent or think nonlinearly. Will this work for me?
A: Yes. The framework is structured but flexible. It supports fast-thinking, strategic professionals who may over-process, self-edit, or hesitate to articulate their achievements. The exercises create deliberate reflection without forcing rigid templates.
Q: What is the Workbook for?
A: The Workbook translates insight into action. It includes guided questions and structured exercises aligned with all 21 chapters. It is designed to help you practice articulation, clarify positioning, and build visibility muscle in your own tempo.
Q: Where can I access the Workbook?
A: The Workbook is included for digital edition readers (Kindle or eBook). To unlock it, enter the access code printed in the Introduction section of your copy. It contains all 21 chapter summaries and structured self-coaching tools.
Q: Can I gift the book to a colleague or mentor?
A: Yes. It is particularly relevant for experienced professionals navigating transitions, leadership growth, or repositioning. It offers structured clarity rather than surface-level tactics, making it suitable for peers who value depth and substance.
